Before speaking about Tanzania safaris, we have to get a clear definition and origin of the word safari. Safari is a Swahili word which means “journey” or might sometimes refer to an expedition. It is only at Explore Africa Safaris where you can have a unique Tanzania safari, which is full of adventures that will always color your face with a smile whenever you remember the moments. Whenever planning for a safari to Tanzania, your packing list is obviously among the very first things to think of. The packing list depends on the kind of safari you have booked. Mountain climbers usually carry bags (daypack or duffle bag), footwear (hiking boots, thermal socks, trekking socks, and Snickers), headgear (sunhat, beanie, sunglasses, and neck warmer), clothing (jackets, trousers, hiking underwear and shirts), trekking poles and other gadgets like cameras and power banks. For other safaris, you can carry protective clothing such as sunhats, casuals, trekking trousers, hiking boots, cameras, and binoculars. This shall all depend upon factors like where specifically you wish to visit and explore, weather conditions, and your individual situation. Speaking of an individual’s situation, we are speaking of factors like the individual’s health condition, the individual’s age, and personal desires.Tanzania is easily accessible from any part of the world, and the good part is that Tanzania can be accessible through both air, land and water.

Posted on sidie dVerified Hands Down BEST operator and guides Finding the right partner to choose for your safari can be very daunting and extremely confusing. Having visited Tanzania 5 times before we have tried a few different tour companies and they all offer very similar services so it’s tough to pick one from afar as none of them seem very differentiated from each other. Similar price points, similar offerings, similar websites and experiences offered. Having had a fair bit of experience with this I chose Explore Africa because they were very responsive, flexible and helpful.I already had a rough idea of the itinerary I wanted and they advised on the finer detail of the trip which was important to me, whilst they would do just as good a job if you are new to safaris in Africa. Pre-trip they worked and reworked my itinerary multiple times until I was totally satisfied which was great, their flexibility and quick actions to find availability was very helpful. Something that makes them unique is that they can really work with any budget you have from low end to ultra luxury. Timing is key in the parks as you pay quite high entrance and concession fees so timing it to maximise the time in the park and also get the best experience within your budget takes expert knowledge and very good organisation skills. As a wildlife photographer and zoologist I have some experience with going on safari in east Africa but what the team brought to the table was exceptional. Their experience and knowledge was so impressive. Its was much deeper than the usual ’tour guide’ experience. They knew in-depth knowledge about the history, the zoology, the scientific components of the park and the animals. You will spend all day with the guides so chemistry is very important and these guys were great, excellent attitude, fun and light-hearted, extremely helpful but could also manage the serious side of explaining everything about the culture, the environment and the animals.Flexibility on the trip is also something very important, these guys were exceptional at that, hanging plans and adapting to our every request. They were put through their paces as each day was out before 6am and back by 6pm so its long days of driving and spotting but they did an exceptional job of it.Many guests think of going on safari as a once in a lifetime experience but with this team you can really see how you can plan more often trips in different places and with different budgets. For me, I have finally found the right partner that I will use for all my future trips and strongly recommend them.Posted on ED SVerified Amazing This trip was amazing in one word. Micky and Albert put together a wonderful journey for us. 7 days of safari and then on to Zanzibar. We covered many kilometers with Micky as our driver. Saw many animals, beautiful lions in an abandoned camp. Lake Manyara with many Elephants. Traveling with these guys is definitely recommended. Great service, a lot of knowledge, and a well-stocked cooler on board.Posted on Paula SVerified Unforgettable! We had an unforgettable holiday. Our guides Micky and Albert showed us the most beautiful parts of the Serengeti. From sleeping in luxury lodges to the spectacular Sound of Silence. Searching for the animals and the stories about the animals were fantastic. The great migration was a unique experience. The lunches in the Serengeti were also unforgettable. If you really want attention, you should book here. Thank you Micky and Albert, you also made my birthday unforgettable.Posted on Saskia DVerified Best trip of our lives!! We have experienced this trip so much, lots of facts about the animals that live there, lunch on the Serengeti, everything we wanted to do was listened to and could be arranged. Nothing was too much! Our guide Micky clearly enjoyed sharing his knowledge and Service!!Posted on Christian GVerified Their personal with all their experience and guidance is making this trip extra special With Micky as our guide (again) we had the best experience from what we call a safari holiday.Starting already with carfully planning and booking the trip with Albert in the office (Albert thank you for that)We visited such nice spots, saw so many animals (and yes...all big-5). But next to that watching the great migration was soo special. They have been taking care of us soo well and everyday there was a special surprice for the bush lunch.Every day the planning was discusses to make it as relaxed as possible. We slept at very nice locations and most important was the friendy "family like "contact between the guide and us.We felt so safe and well guided through this beautifull experience.Next to the big 5 we were treated with the extra of watching the animals crossing the Mara river...incredible! What a perfect spot and timing of our guide Micky. Not a big company...bit a very personal approach which we really appreciate.Thank you again Micky and Albert...till next time !Posted on Ann SVerified Legendary safari with MedadyLloyd Our 4 day safari with Medady our guide and driver was fabulous. He is a brilliant driver and exceptional guide. Medady was able to answer all our questions about animals and culture in Tanzania. He was always conscious about our safety. He has great English, a sense of humour and great song list for us when we had finished safari.
